What is the Realisation Process?

The Realisation Process (RP) is a powerful yet gentle path of inner transformation. It combines spiritual awakening, trauma healing, and embodiment in one cohesive practice - offering a unique doorway into wholeness.

Created by Judith Blackstone, RP began as a personal healing journey after a life-changing injury. As she turned inward, she discovered not only physical recovery but a profound sense of connection – to her body, to the world, and to a deeper ground of being. From this, the Realisation Process was born.

Over the past 40 years, RP has grown into a respected modality for those seeking grounded spirituality, trauma resolution, and authentic presence.

The Heart of RP: Fundamental Consciousness

At the core of RP is what Judith calls Fundamental Consciousness – a subtle, unified awareness that pervades everything. It’s the ground of our being, sometimes known as essence, Buddha nature, or pure presence.

RP teaches that this consciousness isn’t something we have to reach or earn – it’s already here. We simply need to soften, open, and inhabit the body in a particular way to access it directly.

This isn’t about visualising light or thinking positive. It’s a felt, lived experience that emerges when we release tension and settle deeply into ourselves.

What Makes the Realisation Process Unique

What sets the Realisation Process apart is how fully it brings together the physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects of our being – not as separate parts, but as one unified experience.

Unlike many traditional meditation or healing paths that keep the body at arm’s length, RP is rooted in embodiment. This means you don’t just observe the body or become aware of it – you actually inhabit it. You feel yourself from the inside out, discovering a depth and stillness that’s always been there but often gets buried under tension and distraction.

RP is also a non-dual practice, but with a refreshing twist. Rather than suggesting you transcend your humanity or dissolve into nothingness, RP honours the full spectrum of your experience. You are both human and consciousness. The sacred isn’t out there somewhere – it’s right here, woven through your body, your breath, your being.

And importantly, RP is a bottom-up approach. You don’t have to think your way into clarity. Instead, you soften into sensation, into space, into presence. This way of working – through the body – is deeply aligned with the latest trauma and nervous system research. When we start from the body, change happens more naturally and sustainably.

This combination of embodiment, grounded nonduality, and body-first healing is what makes the Realisation Process such a powerful and transformative path – especially for those who’ve tried other approaches and still feel like something’s missing.

Core Benefits of RP

While each person’s experience is different, many people find that RP helps them experience a clearer and more unified sense of self. There’s often a deep sense of grounding and inner spaciousness. Emotional and energetic patterns that once felt stuck can begin to soften and release, not through force or analysis, but through gentle presence.

You may find yourself feeling more resilient, more open, and more connected – to your body, to others, and to life itself. As your system becomes more regulated and your awareness more attuned, you may notice increased creativity, deeper intimacy, and a quiet confidence that comes from truly inhabiting your own being.

How Does RP Work Practically?

RP is typically practiced through guided meditation, either seated or lying down. The practices are simple, subtle, and accessible to anyone – no previous experience is necessary.

You’ll be guided to attune to space inside the body, release holding patterns, and connect with your energetic core – a central vertical channel of awareness that runs through the torso. From there, you begin to sense a natural spaciousness and unifying presence that includes everything around you.

The result is not just relaxation, but a deep inner coherence. RP gently shifts your experience from fragmentation toward wholeness.

RP and the Nervous System: A Polyvagal Perspective

The Realisation Process aligns beautifully with Polyvagal Theory, which explores how the nervous system regulates safety, connection, and healing.

Many of us live with chronic tension – both physical and emotional – as a result of stress, trauma, or simply modern life. RP helps release these defensive patterns in a gentle, organic way. As you learn to soften and inhabit your body, your system naturally begins to regulate itself.

This shift supports a move out of survival states like fight, flight, or freeze, and into a calm, connected state of presence. You’re not forcing change – you’re creating the conditions for your nervous system to rebalance itself, which brings greater resilience, safety, and ease in daily life.

RP and Bioresonance: A Powerful Pairing

At Inna, we can combine RP with Bioresonance therapy – and the results are powerful.

Bioresonance works at the energetic level, helping to clear patterns and blockages that may be stored in the body. It’s like an energetic tune-up – subtle but effective. But sometimes these shifts can feel disorienting if they’re not fully integrated.

That’s where RP comes in. The Realisation Process helps you consciously feel, stabilise, and embody those energetic changes. It gives you a grounded inner space – a kind of internal landing pad – where transformation can actually take root.

Together, RP and Bioresonance support healing on multiple levels: physical, energetic, emotional, and spiritual. One works from the outside in, the other from the inside out. The result is a more complete, embodied, and sustainable healing experience.

In Summary

The Realisation Process is not just another method for relaxation or self-improvement. It’s a deep return to your essential self – grounded, open, and free.

Through this work, you begin to feel truly at home in your body. Old patterns lose their grip. A quiet clarity emerges. You don’t have to strive to be better – you begin to sense that you already are whole.

Whether you’re navigating healing, seeking spiritual depth, or simply longing to feel more connected to yourself and your life, RP offers a gentle but profound way forward.

About Louise Reader your teacher at the Inna Clinic

This special class is led in collaboration with Louise Reader, founder of The Body Matters, a holistic clinic established in 2008. Louise works with both private clients and UK-based companies to support staff wellbeing. She is a Senior Teacher of the Realisation Process – one of only two in the UK – and brings over 15 years of experience in meditation and embodied healing practices.

Meditation has been central to her life since 2008, when she began a deep journey that included living and studying for three months in a monastery in China. Louise’s personal practice continues to evolve through a rich mix of teaching, spiritual inquiry, and holistic health. Her work is rooted in deep presence and a commitment to helping others reconnect with their inner clarity and calm.

Why She Teaches the Realisation Process

For Louise, the Realisation Process has been the most transformative approach she has encountered. “It’s gentle, subtle, and yet extremely powerful,” she shares. “It has helped me feel more content, more confident, and more connected – to myself, to others, and to life.”

This practice has supported her in healing physical and emotional issues, bringing more balance, ease, and clarity into her everyday life. “It’s not about striving,” Louise explains. “It’s a journey inward – deeply personal, resonant, and spacious. I love sharing this work so that others can find their own way home to themselves.”
